The 1M WS2812B 5V Addressable RGB Non-Waterproof LED Strip Light 60LEDs/Mtr is an easy way to add complex lighting effects to your projects. Each LED can be controlled separately using an Arduino Board or a microcontroller. The strip features WS2812B LED/driver ICs, allowing for higher LED densities.
Soldering the LED strip allows for easy connection with three connectors: input, auxiliary power, and output connectors. The strip uses 3-pin JST SM connectors with specific wire color codes for ground, signal input, and power lines.
To control the LED strip, connect the input wires to your microcontroller following the color codes. It is recommended to power the strip using the auxiliary power wires for efficient operation.
The strip can be cut into segments, with each segment containing one RGB LED. Segments can be cut apart to create shorter sections. Multiple LED strips can be chained together for synchronized control and power.
For protection and optimal performance, follow recommended precautions such as adding capacitors, avoiding hot-swapping connections, and minimizing wire lengths. If damage occurs, cutting off the first segment and re-soldering can revive the strip.
