The I2C adapter directly soldered onto the pins of the display reduces the pin usage on your Arduino, making the wiring simple. The I2C interface uses two bidirectional lines, SDA (Serial Data Line) and SCL (Serial Clock Line), and requires pulled-up resistors. The display works with standard 5V and 3.3V voltages.
With only four pins to hook up, including VCC and GND, the wiring is straightforward. The display can show simple text or numerical values read by sensors, such as temperature or pressure.
