The 12V RGB 5050 SMD LED Strip with 5-meter length features 300 bright RGB LEDs on a single strip. Drawing a total of 22.5 Watts of Power, this flexible strip can be bent to conform to curves and corners. It runs from 12VDC and requires a minimum output 2 AMPs Adapter to power the full 5-meter strip. Please note that the power supply and controller are not included.
These LED strips are unique as each of the 300 modules on the strip contains three colors - red, blue, and green LEDs. When set to white at full brightness, the RGB strips use almost three times the power as regular white strips. Connecting three of these strips end-to-end would result in roughly an 8.4 Amp requirement. Each color has its own separate 12VDC circuit (R G B), making them not individually addressable.
You can power these strips off regular 12V DC if you don't need advanced flashing patterns or color mixing.
