The 12-0-12 750mA Center Tapped Step Down Transformer is designed for various applications. It acts as a step-down transformer, reducing AC from 230V to 12V. The transformer has a center-tapped secondary winding with flying colored insulated connecting leads, approximately 100mm long.
The construction of the transformer includes a solid core and winding. It is a static electrical device that transfers energy through inductive coupling between its winding circuits. The transformer's cores are made of high permeability silicon steel, which greatly reduces magnetizing current and confines the flux to closely couple the winding.
