The Trimpot is a high accuracy variable resistor that is PCB mountable with 3 terminal pins. The voltage between the terminals varies as the trimpot is rotated. It is commonly used for variating voltage in a circuit as needed. The outer two pins are connected to Vcc and 0V, while the center pin outputs a variable voltage between 0V and Vcc as the rotary cermet is rotated.
