This 1/4 inch water flow sensor is used extensively in various types of vending machines. It is connected in line with the liquid whose flow rate needs to be measured. The sensor has a simple rotating wheel with a magnet. As the liquid flows, the wheel rotates, and a hall effect sensor measures the rotations to provide pulses for calculating the flow rate and dispensed liquid amount.
The sensor comes with a 3 pin JST connector:
Red: Vcc 5 to 18 volts
Black: Ground
Yellow: Pulse Output signal
Applications:
Widely used in the water industrial field, such as thermostatic water heater, water purifier, water dispenser, smart card equipment, coffee machine, etc.
Note: When magnetic material is close to the sensor, its characteristics may vary. To avoid particle debris, the sensor must be installed after a filter. The flow sensor installation should avoid strong vibration and shaking of the environment to maintain measurement accuracy.
